A very lively night with the ‘Soggy Bottom Boys’ paying us a visit and the popular voice of Tony Grant given an extended set by M.C. Tex Mealey. The Soggy boy’s were their usual ebullient selves singing a range of well known ditties which got the crowd feet stomping and table tapping in accompaniment.
The very fine voice of Tony was also well received and sounding even better with his Gibson alongside, then the wonderful Elaine Walker also showed what a fine singer she is and how lucky we are to have such diverse talent attending the club.
With Annie & Bob, Vin, Kevin, George & Bam also on show, we were all sent away happy and some of us, with our own soggy bottoms, due to the late heavy showers at hometime.
